Free local checks

JobFit compares your resume with a job posting you choose. Local checks process this content on your device and do not send it to JobFit or an AI provider. The resume may contain your name, contact details, education and work history. The extension reads the selected page text, title and URL only when you invoke its check; it does not monitor browsing history in the background.

Optional AI with your own key

If you save your own OpenRouter API key and click the AI analysis button, the extension sends prepared resume text and job text directly over HTTPS to OpenRouter and its selected model provider to generate the result. The API key is sent to OpenRouter for authentication, including when you click Check key. Saving a key or running a local check does not request AI analysis. This release does not send these requests through a JobFit backend.

OpenRouter and the selected model provider process the request under their own policies. JobFit requests providers that disallow data collection for training, but this is not a promise of zero retention. See OpenRouter's privacy policy. AI charges are billed to your own OpenRouter account; JobFit does not collect payment or card details.

Storage and deletion

Resume text, language settings, your saved API key and any saved result are held in Chrome extension local storage on this device, not Chrome sync storage. Pending page text may be held temporarily in Chrome session storage and is consumed when checked. Use Remove key to delete the saved API key. Use Clear my data in the resume screen, clear the extension's data, or uninstall JobFit to remove its saved local data. These actions do not delete records already processed by OpenRouter or its providers; contact those services for their deletion options.

Limited use

JobFit uses resume and selected page data only to provide the comparison and analysis requested by you. JobFit does not sell this data, use it for advertising, credit decisions or unrelated purposes, or provide it to its developer for manual review. Transfers occur only to provide the requested optional AI analysis. JobFit's use of user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. The extension includes no analytics or remote executable code.

Website and support

This public website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes website requests under its own policies. If you email support, your email is processed by the email provider. Support: yuravolontir@gmail.com
